Jericho
Palm trees on the moon

Located 240 meters below sea level, Jericho is the lowest city in the world. Humanity, at its dawn, established itself in this valley encircled by tortured mountains, at least as far as the Xth century BC. The pagan temples to the moon goddess of old have left place to mosques and synagogues. Don’t look for parties and movement here: Jericho is a place for contemplation and well-being. Treat yourself to a city tour by bike or a cable car ride to the Mount of Temptations. Visit an eco-lodge in the fertile Jordan Valley: you can go as far as the Dead Sea, to take a walk in a nature reserve owned by Israel but open to all.
